Trump needs to stay in office to protect all Americans

I must disagree with the Tuesday letter “Biden another career politician but he’s the best alternative” from Chet Ridenour. I do agree with Ridenour that Americans are fed up with career politicians. This fact alone is why President Donald Trump was elected in 2016 and hopefully again in 2020.

Running the United States is like running a very large business. One must have a vast knowledge of finances, making deals and reading people. And one must have the desire to protect all Americans and do what is in the best interest of our great country.

You can spin it anyway you want but President Trump was elected in 2016 because he was not another career politician. We need a businessperson in charge with the proven background of President Trump.

Some Democrats freely state they want open borders, free health care for all, defunding the police, making cuts in Border Patrol and prison reform (prisoners released from jail to protect them from COVID-19 are now roaming the streets).

Wake up, America. We must have President Trump in charge!

Householder, like each of us, is innocent until proven guilty

I’ve read or seen The Dispatch for my entire life. I’m 64 years old and up until the past 20 years have believed in the American way of life.

What I see today is not our America.

Riots in the streets, referred to as protests. The Democratic Party’s platform is “we think we can beat Trump.”

Now I see members of the Ohio House of Representatives trying to eject one of their own. Larry Householder is an elected official of Ohio. He has been accused of an awful crime.

I don’t know all the details of the allegations. What I do know is in my America we are innocent until we are proven guilty. The American people have forgotten this. Too many times this has happened in the media, which should report the news and not try and make the news.
