Dorothy Cuprik, age 99, died peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 10, 2021. A resident of Columbus for more than 50 years, she was born in Donora, Pa., on June 7, 1921, to Harry and Anna (Skrabut) Kolodychak. She graduated from Donora High School in 1939 and was employed by Mccrory’s Five & Ten and U.S. Steel prior to her marriage. She was married to Milton Cuprik on May 6, 1951, and they celebrated 63 years of marriage before his death in 2014. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmothe­r, and she spent much of her time taking care of her family. She rooted for the Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys, and she enjoyed traveling, laughing and walking on the beach. Dorothy was a member of Church of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. She was a fan of Johnny Mathis, Carol Burnett, Erma Bombeck, Barbra Streisand, Paul Harvey and Lucille Ball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Milton, nine siblings Katherine Kolodychak, Eva (Walter) Novosielsk­i, Anne (Joe) Opett, Frank (Amelia Lombardi) Kolodychak, Michael Kolodychak, Lillian (Cyril) Mandzok, Helen Kolodychak, Millie (Jay, John) Doty Beecher, and Tom (Patricia Paterra) Kolodychak. She is survived by sons, Ken Cuprik and David Cuprik; daughters, Karen (Mark) Stonebrake­r and Patti (Ed) Sarno; grandchild­ren, Amy (Joe) Mudge and Todd (Tori) Stonebrake­r; and many nieces and nephews. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will have a private Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Fr. James T. Coleman, Celebrant.
