David A. Crissinger, 74, of Danvers, died peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury, Massachusetts following a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on December 23, 1946, he was the son of the late Carl and Mary (Stevens)
Crissinger. He was raised and educated in Columbus, Ohio where he was a 1965 graduate of Saint Mary’s High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. David had a varied career, working over the years in the leather industry, finance, and
emergency medicine. He was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Thomas E. Power Council #1505 and a 4th degree knight of the Fr. Gabrielle Druillette Assembly #390. He was a friend of Bill W. for over twenty years and was proud of his sobriety and loved and appreciated the many friends he made over the years. David enjoyed playing darts, was an avid reader, and a history buff. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He leaves two sons, David Crissinger II and his wife, Christine of Ipswich, Ma and Matthew Crissinger and his wife, Kim of Quincy, Ma; two daughters, Kathleen Bell and her husband, Andrew of New Zealand and Amy Rochon and her husband, David of Quincy, Ma; his grandchildren, Lily, Aiden, Maggie, Norah, Rosie, and Corri; his siblings, Thomas Crissinger of Ohio, Paul Crissinger of Amesbury, Ma Margaret Holtzapfel of Ohio, Ann Dixon of Ohio, and Mary Ellen Parsons of Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was the brother of the late Andrew Crissinger and Sarahjane Mylott.
