Hannah Elizabeth Thompson, 27, of Columbus, OH passed away January 6, 2021. Loving daughter, sister, musician and nurse. Hannah graduated from Whetstone High School in 2012, and received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Columbus State Community College in 2017. Hannah wanted to be a nurse from an early age, and she used her degree at Syntero Counseling to care for her patients. She worked in nursing homes and hospitals as an STNA and LPN and loved caring for her patients. Hannah loved her cat Paul. He was her best friend for the past 6 years. Hannah was active in North Broadway UMC youth group, work camp and choirs. She enjoyed working with the other youth in work camp and attended every year. Music was important to Hannah and she was gifted with talent. She loved to play her flute and sing in school and church choirs. Hannah was a kind and gentle soul who will be dearly missed. Hannah was preceded in death by her grandparen­ts James and Merriam Thompson. She is survived by her parents William and Kay of Columbus, her sister Julia, of Columbus grandparen­ts Richard and Byrldene White of Marion, uncles and aunts Rick (Jenny) White of Columbus, Ann (Ken) Schumacher of Pandora, and many cousins. There will be a private graveside service on January 16, 2021 for family. Rev. Megan Croy will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the North Broadway United Methodist Church Youth Group fund or Work Camp fund in Hannah’s name.
