Linerode-blocker, Donna
Donna Linerode-blocker of Pickerington, OH passed away January 9, 2021,
after fighting cancer. Donna
donned wings ascending
to Heaven joining her recently deceased mother,
Jean Izotic of Santee, CA,
12/10/20, and her sister,
Kris Izotic of San Carlos,
CA, 12/31/20. Donna was
born April 10, 1946, in London, England to Jean
& Michael Izotic. Donna
was raised in Canton, OH graduating from Perry HS
in 1965 where she met her lifelong friends Mona Hackett-reuscher and Judy Ivins-zernechel. Her family
loved camping as members
of The Buckeye Trailer Club where she met her first husband Gerald Linerode. After the death of Gerald
in 1980, Donna relocated
to Santee, CA where she met her second love, her husband Michael Blocker.
Donna’s career was dedi
cated to caring for children
working in Pickerington
YMCA school programs. This dedication to children influenced both of her children to become professionals in education. After
retiring, Donna took a lot of
pleasure in caring for her neighbor’s infant son, Caleb leading to an important
relationship with his parents Rosemary and Scott.
One of Donna’s greatest
attributes was her compassion for others. She had
an innate ability to create a
conversation with complete
strangers bringing a ray of
sunshine to their day. She
took pride in developing
meaningful relationships with all of her neighbors. Donna is survived by her husband, Michael Blocker of Pickerington, OH;
her son, Craig Linerode (Heather) of Louisville, OH; her daughter, Tonya Albright (Todd) of Knoxville, TN; along with her pride and joy three grandchildren, Jerry
Linerode, Trevor, and Taylor
Albright; and two nephews, Keith Fowler (Shannon) of
Clairemont, CA, and Kent
Fowler (Stephanie) of El Cajon, CA. In lieu of the service, the family requests continuing her love of children by making a donation
