Laura J. (Vanover) Phillips, age 51, of Ostrander, Ohio, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 17, 2021, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Born June 1, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio. She was a longtime resident of Plain City and a 1987 graduate of Jonathan Alder High School. Laura attended the Cornerstone Church of Christ in Christian Union of Plain City. At the time of her diagnosis Laura held the position of Office Manager of Contactpointe in Westerville. Prior to working for Contactpointe she was an Executive Assistant for The Frank Gates Service Company. Laura loved being outdoors, working in her garden and spending time with her family and friends. Laura is survived by her soulmate and husband of nearly 19 years, Ronald Vanover; her parents, Don and Martha Lane, Plain City; mother and father-inlaw, James and Flora Davis, Lehigh Acres, FL; children, Stephanie (Joe Tindall) English, Prospect, OH, David Shriver, Ostrander, OH, Ronald (Kiah) Vanover, Groveport, OH; grandchildren, Gage English, Zayden English, Jaxon Reinhard, all of Prospect, OH; siblings, Linda (Chris) Adams, Fountain Inn, SC, Richard Fink, Fredericktown, OH, David (Debbie) Fink, Delaware, OH, Steven (Donna) Lane, Kosciusko, MS, Richard (Linda) Lane, Brusly, LA, Julie (Craig) Landry, Plaquemine, LA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
