1939 - 2021

Susan Elisabeth Hershberger, 82, joined the Church Triumphant and passed peacefully at Kobacker House on March 29, 2021. She was born in Canton, Ohio on February 27, 1939 to the late Kenneth and Elisabeth (Blythe) Clatterbuck. Susan was a proud graduate of North Canton High School and the St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland. She is survived by her sons, Andy (Lynn) Hershberger of Plain City, and Eric (Cindy) Hershberger of Columbus; brother, Greg (Kathy) Clatterbuck of Miamisburg, OH; as well as grandchildren, Amanda, Erin and

Lucas; and extended family members. Susan married Donald N. Hershberger on November 25, 1960 and built her family and legacy over 40 years before Don’s passing in 2001. Following a career in nursing and her retirement from the American Red Cross, Susan travelled extensively abroad with Don, friends, and family. She was a regular volunteer at the John J. Gerlach Center for Senior Health and a long-time member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church. Susan raised two fiercely independent sons, cherished her companionships (both new and old), delighted in the achievements of her family, and enjoyed playing cards with friends and neighbors. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at the Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 High St, Worthington, on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 11AM.
