Hiss, Wilma Jean

1940 - 2021

Wilma Jean Hiss, 81, of Powell, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her loving family on April 19, 2021. She was born in Urbana, Ohio on February 17, 1940 to the late Wilbur and Della (Hunter) Davis. She was a graduate of Urbana H.S., class of 1958. She retired from the J.S. Maclean Co. after 25 years as the Office Manager. Wilma was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her large family, traveling, reading, playing games on her tablet and watching Ohio State football. She was also an accomplished baker. She loved to make cakes for everyone’s birthdays and holiday cookies. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, David; her sister, Deloris Smith; son and daughter-inlaw, Jeffrey (Karen) Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Kim (Ed) Guitner; grandchildren, Tiffany (Kenny) Bogle, Tiffany (Stephen) Epp,

Jeffrey (Amanda) Smith II, Tyler (Kahla) Smith. Wilma also has 8 great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew. She will also be missed by her many dear friends at Seldom Seen Acres condominiums. Funeral Service will be held at 12pm Monday, April 26, 2021 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio, where friends may call from 10am-12pm prior to the service.
