Marjorie Ann Devers, of Grove City, Ohio, formerly of Dunbar, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021. She was born May 1, 1933 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Orville E. and Isabel Devers. Graduated from Dunbar High School, Dunbar, West Virginia. Received an AB degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where she enjoyed membership in Symphonic Choir and Delta Sigma Epsilon Sorority. She retired in 1998 from Columbus Public Schools after 42 years in the classroom. She enjoyed Ohio State football and girls’ basketball, traveling, and she loved playing euchre and having breakfast with her retired teacher friends. Marjorie is survived by her brother, James Devers; niece, Carala (Ken) Barker; nephews, Randy (Donna) Devers, Jay (Shirley) Devers; several great and great-great-nieces and nephews; good friend, Kip Sexton; godchildren, Kaitlin Rose Conley and Nickolas Ryan Schimmoller; and the Schimmoller family. Visitation will be 4-7pm Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Schoedinger Grove City, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. She was a member of the Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus St., Grove City, where her funeral will be held 10am Wednesday with Pastor Dennis Mohler officiating.
