Fishburn, Jack

Walter C. “Jack” Fishburn, age 87, of Marengo, passed away Monday at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Jack was a longtime area farmer and community steward who engaged in many endeavors for the betterment of the Marengo community, Morrow County, and beyond. The Fishburns were owners of many local businesses in Morrow County, including Fishburn Services, Producing and Farms; the former Marengo, Mt. Gilead and Mansfield Auto Parts Stores; Ole

Farmstead Inn, now Legacy Restaurant, Suds ‘n Sun, Sparkle ‘n Shine, and the Cardinal Center Campground and Shooting Center, Karen’s Kids Campus, and recently the Dollar Tree Distribution Center where of hundreds of jobs were created for the community. Their farming operation included livestock as well as raising grain and hay. Left to cherish his memory include daughter,
