West Jefferson man killed in crash
A West Jefferson man was killed Monday night when his vehicle rearended a tractor-trailer along Interstate 70 in Madison County.
According to the State Highway Patrol, Brian Bogenrife, 37, was westbound and approaching stopped traffic near mile marker 83 when he failed to slow and crashed into the rear of the commercial vehicle driven by Deerjit Singh, 35, of New York state.
Bogenrife, who was not using a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Singh was not injured. dnarciso@dispatch.com @Deannarciso
