Rev Diana Marie Morris, age 76, passed away on August 21, 2021 peacefully. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 6, 1945. After graduating high school in 1962, Diana went to a local college where she received her LPN license. Soon thereafter she left Ohio and moved to Kansas where she was an LPN. After returning to Columbus, Diana graduated from Capital University in 1988 with a Bachelor’s in Religion. She then graduated from Methodist Theologica­l School with a Master of

Divinity and Master of Arts in Liturgical Arts. Rev Diana Morris served as pastor at Alison Christian Church in Alison, PA then First Christian Church in Willoughby, OH. She retired from that position due to a disability. Diana served the church in many capacities when she was able including pastor, choir member, pianist, wrote and acted in plays, managed craft fair, and more. She was an active member of Gender Road Christian Church. Diana is survived by her best friend and sister, Lolita Denton; nephews, Shawn (Tammy) Denton, Matthew Denton; Maurice Denton, Mike Denton; nieces, Kimberly (Gary) Jones, Kelly (Bud) Pullins, Patricia Garvin; great nephews, Xavier (Mckenna) Denton, Jay (Kam) Denton, Michael (Tina) Denton; great nieces, Shelby (Jimmy) Miller, Danielle Denney, April (Charlene) Denton, Chasity Denton, Jennifer Garvin; great great nieces and nephews; many cousins and her other best friend, Myra Hayduk. Diana is preceded in death by her parents Orville and Audrey Morris, brother and wife Richard and Nancy Morris, and brother-in-law Maurice L Denton. Rev. Diana Morris’s memorial will be Saturday, August 28, 2021, at noon with calling hours from 10am-12pm. Services will be held at Gender Road Christian Church, 5336 Gender Rd, Canal Winchester, OH 43110. EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., will be directing the service.
