Hanif Abdurraqib to make appearance

The Columbus-based poet, essayist and critic Hanif Abdurraqib will appear in a free virtual event at 2 p.m. Aug. 29, at the Columbus Metropolitan Main Library, 96 S. Grant Ave. Abdurraqib’s 2021 book is “A Little Devil in America: Notes in Praise of Black Performance” with commentary on entertainers including Josephine Baker, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Dave Chappelle.
