Bauchert, Sr, Darryll Richard

Darryll Richard Bauchert, Sr., of Ft Myers, FL, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Monday, August 23, 2021. Darryll was born on July 10, 1951, in Columbus, OH. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter Christina, his parents Patti Jean O’harra and James Richard Bauchert, his uncle Richard O’harra, and his grandparents Sheldon and Margaret O’harra and Merrill and Edith Bauchert. Darryll is survived by his wife, Martha; and their children, Rick (Laura), Emily (Bill) Snyder, Josh (Jessica) Porter, and Zachary (Tonna) Porter; his grandchildren, Jake (Hayley), Joshua, Lindsey, Callie, Gena, Lily, and Kadyn; and his siblings, Cheryl (Donna) and Lynn. Darryll graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1969. He served his country as a United States Marine from 1970-1974, received a BA in Administration from Ohio State in 1976, and MBA from the University of Toledo in 1982. He was a musician in the United States Marine Corps and was a proud member of THE Ohio State University Marching Band. Darryll enjoyed playing in local SW Florida bands and traveling as a member of Band of

America’s Few. Visitation will be held on Friday, 8/27/2021, from 2-4 and 6-8PM, at Hodges-kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft Myers, FL. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, 8/28/2021, 10:30AM at Church of The Resurrection, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft Myers, FL, Msgr. Stephen Mcnamara presiding. Private family interment.
