Weston, David

1950 - 2021

David Alan Weston DDS left this earthly plane on August 23, 2021, at the age of 70. His struggles with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and he kept his sense of humor through to the end. He was welcomed by his daughter Erin, sister Peggy, parents Oscar and Betty, and his beloved Cutie, first of many favorite cats. Waiting to join him are his wife of 50 years, Patricia; his daughter, Cortnee and her husband, Bradley, special goddaughter, Amanda; and favorite nephew, Jason. David was born in Columbus, Ohio and at the age of 12 he proclaimed his goal of becoming a dentist just like his father. He met the love of his life, Patricia, while they were both attending The Ohio State University. It was love at first sight and she supported his dental practice in Reynoldsburg every step of the way. He retired in 2001 and purchased a farm just so he could operate a John Deere tractor. It was here, out in the country, that he became known as the mow-man. There was nothing David enjoyed more than an interesting conversation with one of his good friends. He often said, “my body may not be working, but my mouth still does!”.

He also enjoyed his many trips to Las Vegas and playing craps with his friends; buffets, cats, the Buckeyes, and riding motorcycles also topped his favorites list. At David’s request there will be no calling hours instead he would like you to enjoy your favorite barbeque and think of him. Donations in David’s memory may be made to www.hospiceofcentralohio.org/donate/ donate-now/ Cremation services are being handled by Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, Newark.
