Recap. Nolan Jones hit a two-run home run and Kirk Mccarty pitched five strong innings to lead the Clippers to a 3-2 victory. Columbus took a 1-0 lead in the third when Trenton Brooks doubled home Connor Marabell. The Redbirds tied it up in the fifth on Brendan Donovan's sacrifice fly. In the sixth, Brooks doubled and scored on Jones' 12th homer of the year. Memphis scored once in the eighth, but Anthony Gose pitched a scoreless 1 1/3 innings to close it out. Mccarty started for the Clippers and allowed one run on two hits with six strikeouts in his five innings.
