CINCH World’s Toughest Rodeo in Columbus moved to Jan. 15
Central Ohio cowboys and cowgirls will need to hold onto your hats a little while longer.
The CINCH World’s Toughest Rodeo, which had been set to stop in Columbus on Sept. 4 at Nationwide Arena, has been postponed until the new year, arena officials announced. The rodeo will now be held on Jan. 15, 2022.
In what would have been the first concert at Nationwide since the coronavirus pandemic began, the event was also scheduled to feature country music star Chase Bryant.
Bryant will also perform on the new date, officials said.
The postponement was due to “scheduling issues” with rodeo performers and was unrelated to the pandemic, said arena director of communications Gary O’brien.
“The cowboys and performers are essentially a group of private contractors that come together for each event,” O’brien said. “Because the lineup consists of the top athletes and talent, it was important to come up with a new date where everyone could participate, including the post-event concert with country music performer Chase Bryant.”
Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster can be used for the rescheduled event.
