Joe Arndt, passed away on August 25, 2021. Born September

3, 1942. He was a proud 1960 graduate of Columbus South High

School. Joe served on the USS Pocono and was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1965. He was incredibly proud of his service and attended his

Navy annual ship reunions.

Joe was a retired electricia­n and a devout Union Man, he was an active member of IBEW Local 683 for over 50 years. He was devoted to his wife, sons, and grandkids. Through many nearly every sporting event in which his children and grandchild­ren competed. He was also an avid outdoorsma­n who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Joe had a truly magnetic personalit­y and his generosity was well known by anyone who was lucky enough to meet him, and consequent­ly, he had so many incredible friends from all walks of life. Joe embraced life and enjoyed so many things it had to offer, like: attending

Lithopolis United Methodist

Church, buying meals for his pals and strangers alike, going to the casino, country music and Bob

Dylan concerts, going to the stock car races, mowing the lawn, going to Shades in Canal Winchester, filling his bird feeders in the backyard, classic cars, Spongebob,

shopping at “the”

Meijer, being relegated to

Facebook “jail” for expressing his opinions, donuts, scratch off lottery tickets, the Cleveland Browns,

Boston terriers, and most importantl­y for us, telling us all to one another. Joe

Arndt was one of a kind and will be missed by everyone who ever knew him. He lives on in all of us. Preceded

Arndt; sons, Joseph Arndt

Jr. (Barb), Jeffrey Arndt (former spouse, Elizabeth

Arndt); grandchild­ren,

Lauren Arndt Buchler (Brendan), Jeffrey Arndt, Leah

Arndt, Madeline Arndt; brother, Stephen (Sharon)

Arndt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

St, Lithopolis, OH 43136, where a funeral service will follow at 12pm. Interment to Glen Rest Memorial
