James D. “Jim”

Cassady, Sr., age 91, of both Siesta Key,

Florida and Columbus,

Ohio, passed away Tuesday,

August 24, 2021. Jim was born and raised in Jeffersonv­ille,

Indiana, son of the late Edward and Maude (Bollinger) Cassady. He completed his undergradu­ate studies in Business at

Indiana University and received his M.B.A. from the

University of Louisville. Jim served in the US Army and went on to have a 35-year career as a sales executive with Westinghou­se. Jim was an energetic, optimistic, and driven man who liked to stay busy. He was a big sports fan, had a passion for tennis, travel and yardwork, and was an avid boater. and grandchild­ren’s biggest supporter and role model for academics, sports and careers. Jim was a member of Scioto Country Club, a

Kentucky Colonel, Knight of the Holy Sepulcher, and held various volunteer leadership positions within St. Brendan Church, including parish council, finance committee, school board and longtime Festival chairperso­n, and spent years as Chair of the board of directors at Rosemont

Center. Jim will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty Cassady; children, Kim Currie, Lisa (Jon) Shough, and James (Cybil) Cassady, Jr.; grandchild­ren, Christie Currie,

Jack, Alec, Cassady and

Nikolas Shough and Evelyn, brother, Robert Cassady; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 4-7PM
