Brennon, Lois Jean

1930 - 2021

Lois passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2021. She was the strong and loving matriarch to her entire family. Lois was born during the Great Depression and never lost sight of the lessons she learned early in life. She was generous and boisterous, and an avid sports fan with a special dedication to The Buckeyes and the Cleveland Pro Teams. She was never one to conform and proudly went to the beat of her own drum. She loved gambling and traveled to Las Vegas for decades to try her luck at the games. While she never won big, we all won because we had her as our Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. While the world will continue to go on, it will never be the same without the force that was Lois. “Sometimes an angel, sometimes a hell raiser, always a strong woman” - R.H. Sin. Preceded in death by her parents Princeton and Margaret Hosier, husband William Brennon, son George P. Hanawalt, grandson Joseph D. Hanawalt, brother Princeton G. Hosier II and sister Mary Maxwell. Survived by daughters, Pamela Hannah and April Hanlon-neff; son, Edward (Kelly) Hanawalt; grandchildren, Georgieanna (Michael) Scearce, John Smith, Robert (Nicole) Ricketts, Mark (Terry)

(Mariah) Otto, Kacey Otto, Macey Scearce, Amber Smith, Caleb Hanawalt, Lillie Kirk, Vivien Kelleher, Tiffany (Fred) Startup, Brittany (Kevin) Mcvey, Olivia (Phil) Pelzer, Allen Ricketts, Scott Ricketts, Donna (Derrick) Brouhard; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Family will welcome friends 6-8pm Monday, August 30 and 11am-12pm Tuesday, August 31, with a service beginning at 12pm Tuesday, at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E.
