Losses in Afghanistan devastating to daughter, mother of Marines
“Send more troops in to stabilize Afghanistan.” Twenty years is enough.
My heart is breaking for the most recent deaths of our brave Marines this week. When the prior administration declared a withdrawal date of May 2021, every Afghan citizen who helped us should have been listed, vetted and extracted. By now, the only people we should be extricating are essential State Department staff.
As the daughter and mother of Marines, I weep for the families and our country’s loss. Semper fidelis.
