Driver appalled by condition of roadways locally, across the state

-

I travel our Columbus city streets and Ohio state roads every week. Never in my 60 years of living in Ohio and Columbus have I seen such filthy, unmowed, weed-infested and unmaintained roadways.

Heads should roll for allowing Columbus and areas of Ohio to look so bad. It is disgusting and a very real blight not only on the capital of Ohio but also around our state.

Both Gov. Mike Dewine and Mayor Andrew J. Ginther should be held accountable for allowing this to happen. Yesterday I drove from Powell to New Albany, then on to John Glenn International Airport. The amount of trash along the roads was unbelievable.

Why is this happening and what is being done to correct it? It is a disgrace! Scott Fankhauser, Powell
