Martha “Marty” Hickman Howland, died August 30,

2021, fifteen days before her 65th wedding anni

versary with her husband, Donald. She was born on December 18, 1933, to her parents John W. and Lauretta (Fielder) Hickman,

both now deceased, and is survived by her husband;

her two sons, Donald III

and Peter; her grandchild­ren, Chet and Rosalyn,

and Helena and Evie; her great-grandson, Shep; and her brother, Col. William

Hickman, DDS (U.S. Army,

retired). After graduating

Worthingto­n High School and The Ohio State Univer

sity, she was recruited by Procter & Gamble for their

Market Research Department, and she traveled extensivel­y in that position until her marriage. She treasured her associatio­ns as a Docent at the Columbus Museum of Art, and

as a Volunteer at Riverside Methodist Hospital where she served as President of that group, and later, as Assistant Director of Volunteers for the hospital. Besides family and friends, she loved her yoga classes, her travels, both foreign and domestic, OSU basketball, and walks in the neighborho­od with a close friend. She will be greatly missed. No public funeral services will be held.
