Earn votes rather than suppress them

The most cherished and important privilege we have as citizens of this great country is the right to vote. Therefore, it sickens me to see people who claim to be proud and patriotic Americans make laws that seek to limit that privilege and deter people from voting.

My question to them is a simple one: Why don’t you find reasons to get people to vote for you, instead of finding ways to stop people from voting? I would then agree that you are a true patriot!

Am I missing something there ...?
