Donald C. Batton, age 92, of Worthingto­n, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Donald was born March 12, 1929 and grew up in Stow, Ohio, in a large family with six brothers and one sister. He had a successful career in Accounting/auditing at General Motors and received his BSBA from Kent State University in Industrial Management in 1952, and his MA in Industrial Management from the University of Detroit in 1963. He also served in the United States Air Force between 19521956 at Randolph AFB in Texas. He was a charitable and generous man, active in his community and as a member of the Worthingto­n Presbyteri­an Church, where he served as an elder, a deacon, and a volunteer business manager. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Dorothy Jane Batton, his son Jeffrey R. Batton, his daughter Julie L. Green (Batton), his parents Rumsey and Mildred (Vorwerk) Batton and all of his siblings (Calvert, David, Thomas, William, James (Mickey), Robert, and Florene Batton). He is survived by his four loving grandchild­ren, Jeffrey Batton, Megan Goldhardt, Emily Green, and Elise Green; by his son-in-law, Roger Green; and by his numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Worthingto­n Presbyteri­an Church at 10am on Friday, September 10, Dr. Julia Wharff Piermont
