Commend our armed forces for historic airlift out of Afghanistan
Over the past few weeks, print and other media were tightly focused on the pathos and drama at the Kabul airport as we finally ended our involvement in a 20-year war.
The politicians and talking heads point fingers and play blame games.
Yet, what unfolded before us was the greatest humanitarian air evacuation in history. Americans should be proud of this effort.
The men and women of our Air Force and other services made this happen at great risk to themselves. Ohioans were part of the effort.
Let’s not let talking heads and politicians distract us from what our service members in the air and on the ground did for others and our country in these last few weeks.
