One killed in crash Wednesday morning

One person was killed after a single-vehicle crash on the city's Southwest Side Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Frank Road and Harmon Avenue, near the Interstate 71 and Frank Road interchange, around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver involved was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:29 a.m. by paramedics.

No other injuries were initially reported.

The road was closed for about 21⁄2 hours while crews investigated.
