Working at World Trade Center offers unique perspective

-

I have a unique connection to 9/11. Before moving to Columbus, I worked on the 72nd floor of One World Trade Center. I had a nice job creating videos for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. I lived in New Jersey and took the E train right into the basement of the trade center.

Many people I know have no idea that I worked in One World Trade Center. I fell apart as I watched the store Century 21 collapse after the crash. I had bought the layette for my son there. He is now 33. I listened when the names of the victims were read and cried as I heard the names of some of my colleagues.

I was mesmerized when the planes crashed, not believing what I was seeing. Every Sept. 11 think of my colleagues and the others who perished.
