Dudonis, Bruno

- Mcvay Elementary School quiet and reflective. His

designing, and directing in 1934 - 2021

Bruno Dudonis was a gentleman and a gentle man. He was born in Cicero, IL on August 23, 1934 to parents who came from Lithuania.

Bruno passed away peacefully August 10, 2021. He proudly served in the U.S.

Army and graduated from

Northwest University. Bruno is preceded in death by his parents, George and Stella

Dudonis. He is survived by nieces, Chris Urbach and

Judy Newlin; great nieces,

Alexis Steckler and Ashley

Murillo; loving companion,

Barbara Tucker; as well as loving friends, Lisa and

Julia Averill. Bruno came to Columbus while working at Western Electric and asset as it transition­ed through AT&T and Lucent

Technologi­es for 41 years.

Bruno’s passion for the outdoors kept him hiking, biking, birding, fly fishing and studying wildlife. His calm and steady demeanor drew many people to share in his nature activities. He was Outings Chair of the local Sierra Club for 21 years. With Barbara, they embarked on many adventures across the globe.

They enjoyed learning the local history, customs and probably most important to

Bruno, the local food, drink and good story telling. He loved spending a month on

Fort Meyers Beach over the past 10 years. His life was manner was never jarred or changed by the world.

We all got to be a part of his peaceful heart and will always be better for it. A celebratio­n of life will be held at Beech-maple Lodge
