Roy Marshall Flood, passed away peacefully at his home in Westervill­e, Ohio, on

September 10, 2021.

Roy was born in Chicago,

Illinois, March 27, 1941.

His family later moved to Southern California in 1946 where he was a 1959 graduate of Earl Warren

High School in Downey,

CA. In 1960 while enrolled at Fullerton College he started his grocery career

Supermarke­ts. In 1965 Roy was drafted by the US Army and served in Vietnam in 1966-67. After serving his country, Roy returned to Thriftimar­t as a store manager while earning two degrees in business and marketing from Mt. San

Antonio College. In 1977,

Roy moved to Syracuse, NY with P&C Supermarke­ts as a district manager and worked his way to Senior

Vice President of Sales and

Merchandis­ing. Moving again in 1990 to Columbus,

Ohio serving at Big Bear

Supermarke­ts as Executive

Vice President of Sales and

Merchandis­ing. Roy was then called back to P&C

Supermarke­ts to serve as

President. He finished his career at Big Bear Supermarke­ts

as President and retired in 1998. Roy never knew a stranger and had many friends he enjoyed teasing. He enjoyed spending and grandchild­ren, fishing, golfing, cooking and had a deep passion for his yard and flower gardens. Roy is predecease­d by his parents

Raymond and Leutesia “Tish” (Martin) and stepson

Paul Huson. Roy is survived by Donnette Beatty, his wife of 55 years; stepdaught­er,

Pamela Huson; children; daughter, Tori Metzger (John); son, Gordon Flood (Tammy); grandchild­ren,

Mathew, Emily, Kyle, Alexis and Timothy; siblings,

Bruce, Patricia and Jeannie.

Friends may call Tuesday,

September 14, 2021, from 5-7PM followed by service at the MORELAND FUNERAL
