Christine (Ross) Fry, age 86, of Sunbury, died peacefully on Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Longtime member of Vans Valley Community Church. Retired from Harrison Street Elementary where she worked in the cafeteria. Previously employed by Jcpenney at the Northern Lights store. Graduate of Big Walnut High School. Born September 26, 1934 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Isaac J. and Nancy Gladys (Cordle) Ross. Also preceded in death by husband of 67 years Russell Gene Fry, brother Donald Ross, brother-in-law Gordon Ulery. Christine had enjoyed her time selling Avon products, crocheting, playing Euchre and Dice, caring for her many house plants and completing word-search puzzles. Mostly she adored her family and spending time with them. Christine is survived by devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Vicki Fry, Barry and Sherri Fry, all of Sunbury; sisters, Sarah Ulery of Delaware, Janet (Wayne) Booth of Galena; brother, Wayne Ross of Sunbury; sister-in-law, Nancy Ross; grandchildren, Lindsay (John), Brett (Season), Lauren, Ryan, Devin, Leigh Ann (Chris) and Brooke; 5 great-grandchildren and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Devore-snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3), Sunbury, where the family will be receiving friends from 12Noon until time of service. Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Interment Trenton Cemetery.
