J. Ronald “Ron” Coleman, 80, passed away peacefully on Sept. 9, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Ron was born on May 7, 1941, in Owensboro, KY, to Marion E. Coleman and Roberta (Shivley) Coleman, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Owensboro Catholic High, Class of 1959, and attended Brescia College and Utica College. He worked for many years in the sales industry before retiring as a bus driver from Dublin Public Schools. Also preceding him in death were brothers Marion “Bossie” and David, sister Anne, and daughter Deidre. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judith Plageman Coleman; daughters, Heather (Patrick) Shremshock and Tracey (Tony) Coleman-pikos; brother, Mike (Cheryl) Coleman; brothers-in-law, Jim (Liz) Plageman, Dick Plageman, and Gary (Mary Lynn) Plageman; sisters-in-law, Mary Rita (John) Johnson and Teri (Roger) Schrader; and grandchild­ren, Tom, Nicole, John, Jacob, Alex, and Elizabeth. Friends will be received from 3-7pm on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., Columbus. There will also be a visitation at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 Mccoy Rd., Columbus, from 10-10:30am Friday, Sept. 17, with a Mass of Christian burial beginning at 10:30am. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S High St, Lockbourne, will follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
