Deloris I. French, age 88, passed away on September 12, 2021, at her home in Grove City surrounded by her loving family. Deloris, born on July 7, 1933, originally from Branchland, WV, was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert “Frenchie”, grandson Jason, parents Clarence “Curly” and Grace, motherin-law Lodeska, brothers Charlie, Ford, Thomas and Sam, sisters Edna, Jean, Corrine, and Cassie and several nephews and a niece. Deloris, or “Grandma French” as she was known to everyone, is survived by daughters, Paula (Ralph) Wilkins, Caren (Joe) Walkup, Patty French, Vicki (Jeff)

Mayer, Janice (Joe) Astolfi;

grandchild­ren, Christine Walkup, Mindy Sturgeon, Angela (Derek) Wilson, Bryon (Megan) Moore, Sam (Drema) Wilkins, Paige (Jacob) Ward, Kaylee (Danny)

French and Wesley French;

great grandchild­ren, Reece (CJ) Chesser, Megan Chesser, Evan, Colin and Nolan Moore, Dru Wilson and

Ryder and Charley Wilkins;

and great, great grandson,

Carvel Mullins; brother, Jake (Peggy); sisters, Betty and Mary; sisters-in-law, Ella and Violetta; and

many nieces and nephews. Deloris was a true matriarch. She retired after thirty-three years of working full time at General Motors as a member of Local UAW

969 all while raising five

daughters. Deloris loved travelling, gardening and spending time with her family. The strong work ethic and values of Deloris and Albert were passed on to their daughters and grandchild­ren and is a testament the example they always set: work hard, be honest, stand up for what you believe in, and most of all, be kind and help those around you.
