Avant-garde Art & Craft Show on tap

This weekend, you can load up on crafts, support local craftspeople and a give a helping hand to a good cause. Close to 100 area artists will make available for purchase their handmade woodworks, jewelry and other creations at the Columbus Fall Avant-garde Art & Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 19 at the Makoy Center, 5462 Center St., Hilliard. Admission costs $3, or free for age 12 and younger. Masks required. A portion of proceeds will go to Charity Newsies, the 114-year-old organization that devotes all of its funds to providing clothing to at-need children. (www.avantgardeshows.com)
