Unrest over mask-wearing strains civility, is bad lesson for kids
It’s just not that big of a deal! Flummoxed is the only way to describe my feelings after reading the
Sept. 15 article “Anti-maskers make voices heard” at the Columbus City Council meeting.
It’s a six-by-nine-inch piece of material with a couple loops of elastic for heavens sake – simply not worth all the ugliness.
Whatever happened to common courtesy and decorum?
I hate wearing a mask, especially because I have been vaccinated and most likely only have to wear one because other people haven’t been. But if the sign on the door says “Please wear a mask” I will, just as if I went into a person’s home and they asked me to remove my shoes.
I don’t need a mandate or ordinance to do so.
Let’s bring back common decency and think about what we are teaching our children and grandchildren by our actions.
