Decisions by SCOTUS reflect the times in which they’re made
In his Sept. 16 column “High Court opened ‘can of worms’ that will strip rights” Dale Butland makes the startling statement, “Absent the three Justices appointed by former President Donald Trump, the ruling would have gone the other way.”
Where have you been Dale? Could not the same statement have been made in the past about judges appointed by liberal presidents in key cases opposed by conservatives?
So what’s so shockingly new? That’s the way the court works. Everyone gets their turn.
