Tamera Annette Cramer, passed away unexpected­ly on September 18, 2021. She was born in Newark, Ohio on February 26, 1958 to the late Russell Eugene and Sarah K. (Miller) Cramer. Tamera attended Roosevelt and Newark High School, graduating in 1976. She also attended Otterbein College and The Ohio State University. She lived and worked in Newark, Ohio, New York City and the Columbus, Ohio area. Her work included retail, banking, TV and

movie payroll, non-profit administra­tion, and finance

management. Since 1998, she has worked at The Ohio State University College of Computer Science and Engineerin­g, most recently

as Office Associate and

Building Coordinato­r. Her department lovingly referred to her as the “Director of First Impression­s.” Tamera had many interests

including board games, fiction writing, music, theatre, dancing, traveling, politics, history and books of all kinds. She was an advocate and activist for social justice. She loved animals almost as much as people and her friends’ and family’s children as her own. Because of her outgoing nature and lively personalit­y, she had many friends and acquaintan­ces around the world. Survivors include a sister, Sandra Wheeler; sister-in-law, Darlene Cramer; nephews and nieces, Scott Cramer, Wayne Cramer, Cindy Haas, Jenny Loughman, Sarah Cramer, Larry “Rusty” Cramer, Todd Wheeler, Dawn Sileo and Gwen Guenther; as well as great nieces and great nephews. She also leaves behind cousins and friends with joyful memories of her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Larry Cramer, niece Penny Simon, as well as beloved relatives and several special and close friends. Memorial contributi­ons may be made in memory of Tamera to the Licking County Humane Society. A memorial service, celebratin­g Tamera’s life, will be held at a later date.
