1940 - 2021

Lewis, Mary Lynn, age 81, of Dublin, Ohio, peacefully passed away on September 7, 2021. Mary was born on February 28, 1940, to the late Rudy and Arvene (Lee) Schmidt. Mary enjoyed lifelong friendships with classmates from the Columbus West High School Class of 1957. A proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Shriners Auxiliary and a life member of Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church, she loved being active in her community. Mary retired from Ross (Abbott) Laboratories after many years of employment. Mary is preceded in death by her adoring husband of 38 years, Charles E. Lewis, son Michael A. Castle, and brother Robert Lee Schmidt. She is survived by many loving family members including her devoted son, Douglas (Mary) Castle; daughter, Deborah (William) Cody; grandchildren, Annie, Leslie, Zachary (Mateya), Kellen, and Olivia; and great grandchildren, Nicholas, Sophia, Ryan, E’lease, and Zachary Douglas; dear sisters-inlaw, Sally Schmidt and Judy Castle; and brother-in-law, Tom (Judy) Lewis; cousins, Jim (Pam) Klemke, Clyde (Diane) Whitlatch, and Dian Canter. Mary’s family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the staff and care givers at Brookdale Dublin for the compassionate care and support they provided to Mary Lynn, especially Tiffanie Johnston. A very special thank you to Diane, Ruth, and Shirley, devoted lifelong friends. Mary Lynn looked forward to the day she would be reunited with her beloved dog Dottie as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge: “You have been spotted, and when you and your special
