Gregory Lee Battle was one of the most generous people on the planet. He was the absolute best at everything he did. The smartest person I’ve ever known, and I’m sure many others would say the same. Not only a literal hero after serving The Columbus Division of Fire for 22 years as a Lieutenant, he was also a hero to our beautiful, blended family. His children Christian and Shelby (Mitch), my daughter Jayci (Mason), our perfect “grand-dudes” Viktor and Luka, and he was always there for his loving mother Sandi and his brother Joe. He was the absolute love of my (Lisa) life, my soulmate, and bestfriend. I will forever be grateful for our epic journey together. The limitless amount of close friends and family that loved him is immeasurable. Greg was the type of man that had a deep impact on so many, I wish I had time to mention them all. He made a lasting impression on those who knew and loved him and will leave a hole too deep to fill. The only peace I’ve found is that Greg is now reunited with his wonderful son Christian and his amazing father Billy. Family will receive friends at O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High Street, on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10am until time of funeral service at 12noon. Burial will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life in honor of Greg immediately following the graveside service hosted by his Doughboyz family at Doughboyz Pizza, 15 Front St., Commercial Point, OH 43116.
