ANTI-LGBTQ law comes with consequences
When the Ohio Republican-led legislators buried Amendment SC 3909 in the state budget and the governor approved it, they thought they would only harm the LGBTQ citizens of the state.
As California Attorney General Rob Bonta noted, “House Bill 110 (HB 110) will allow medical providers in the state to deny care to LGBTQ+ Americans, including Californians traveling in Ohio.”
Effective Sept. 30, California, which has the largest economy in the United States, will ban state funded travel to our state.
One must wonder if Ohio’s governor and Republican legislators will ever learn that bigotry harms us all.
