This will help clean up politics
I would like my Congressional district representative to do the following:
Prior to the election: disclose copies of your state and federal tax returns for the last three years and agree to at least two public debates.
When elected: agree to vote based upon feedback from your district and not your party; transfer all investments to a blind trust; resign from office if you decide to run for another political position during your term.
Upon election, both parties need to focus on eliminating the “pay to play” political contributions — my recommendations include: taxing all political contributions received at 25%,including “dark money” and pass legislation to require disclosure of the individuals/entities involved in the formation and funding of all political action committees not controlled by the candidates.
I also believe these guidelines can be modified and beneficial for state and local elections.
