h Eligible voters can go online at the Franklin County Board of Elections website to download and print out an application to vote by absentee ballot. Those applications then must be mailed back to the board of elections or dropped off in person at the board of elections building. Due to a reporter’s error, a story on page 1B on Monday contained incorrect information.
h Lourdes Barroso de Padilla circulated her own candidacy petition and was nominated on her own to the November general election ballot as a Columbus City Council candidate. Also, Council President Shannon Hardin is the first openly gay Black member of council. Mary Jo Hudson was the council’s first openly gay member, appointed in 2004. Due to a reporter’s error, a story on page 1B of Sunday’s edition contained some incorrect information.
