James Andrew Kuschel, 79, of Grove City, Ohio died on October 1, 2021. He was born in 1942 in Dunkirk, NY to the late Andrew and Frances Kuschel. He graduated from Cardinal Mindszenty High School in 1960. He received a Purple Heart for injuries received in Vietnam while serving in the 1st Cavalry Division of the US Army. He married Judith Borowski in 1973. Jim was employed by Kobackers, Plymouth Tube, Hills Trucking, Simon and Shuster, and OPERS. He was a past Commander for the American Legion Post 62 in Dunkirk, NY. He was a volunteer firefighte­r for Hose 1 and was in the Flying Dutchman Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also involved with Vietnam Veterans of America and the VFW. He enjoyed birdwatchi­ng, photograph­y, genealogy, and watching ghost hunting/bigfoot shows. Jim was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees, who currently have 27 World Series wins. He was preceded in death by his wife Judith and his brother William Kuschel. He is survived by his daughter, Dina Kuschel; sister, Loraine (Raymond) Wilson of Brocton, NY; twin brother, John (Maria)

Kuschel of Dunkirk, NY; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend, Debbie Dillon, who now resides in Florida. He will be forever missed by his canine companion, Mr. Pibb.
