1934 - 2021

Jeanie Marie Kessler, age 86, passed away at her home on October 1, 2021 under the loving care of Mt. Carmel Hospice. She was born on October 22, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Max and Anna Kruse Eichner. Jeanie is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years Albert. They were joined in holy matrimony on May 25, 1963 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. She is also survived by their children, Ann (Ben) Shows, Brenda (Kurt) Mortensen, Gregory and Keith (Jill); grandchildren, Mary Ann and Ariel Shows, Kaelan, Hanna (Ben Webber), and Rylan Mortensen; her sisters, Dorothy Weate and Ruth Marble; and many nieces and nephews. She also joins her siblings Betty Bandy, Mary Rollins, Paul Eichner and Maxine Crum. Jeanie was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend: she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She and her family were founding members of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, having been parishioners since 1968. A lifelong Buckeye fan, Jeanie enjoyed camping, bowling, her Euchre card club, and decorating for the Christmas holiday. Her family will receive friends from 5-7pm

Monday, October 4, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Road. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus 43229. Father Charles Cotton, Celebrant. A private interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery with her family present.
