1929 - 2021

Rose Geraldine Butler, age 92, of Upper Arlington, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021. Rose was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late Gerald and Marguerite Lane. She graduated from Central High School, Class of 1947. Rose was most passionate about her family and was a fiercely dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Besides her parents, Rose is also preceded in death by her beloved husband with whom she has now been reunited with after 42 years, George William Butler, her siblings Patricia Havener, Joe Lane, and Suzie Jessop, and her faithful canine companions Noelle and Gus. Rose will be greatly missed by her loving children, Ann (Joe) Ciardelli and Brad (Anita) Butler; grandchildren, Andrew (Erica) Ciardelli and Chelsea (Ryan) Abelman; great grandchildren, William and Joe Ciardelli and Isabelle Rose Abelman; sister-in-law, Karen Lane; special niece, Dina Lane; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 4-7PM Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Graveside service will be held at 10AM Thursday, October 7, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 6440 S.
