James Wheeler, 59, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, October 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born February 19, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio he was a son of the late Jess and Etta Wheeler. Jim enjoyed watching any and every sport, but especially Ohio State football. He enjoyed hunting, carpentry, and learning to play the guitar and drums. He was a member of Meadow View Church of Christ in Frazeysburg and enjoyed regularly attending with his family when he was able. Surviving is his loving wife, Anne (Lepi) Wheeler; his children, Brandon Wheeler of Columbus and Becky Wheeler of New Albany; and brother, Richard (Darlene) Wheeler of Delaware; and several nieces and nephews, including Jennifer (Kitchen) Wheeler and Sara (Coakley) Wheeler. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his older brother Robert Wheeler. Visitation will be 11am1pm Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Meadow View Church of Christ, 6750 Raiders Road, Frazeysburg. A funeral service will follow the visitation with Minister Sam Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. The family asks that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks be worn at all times in order to protect those in attendance.
