Elizabeth Ann Ehlshlager Brown passed away on Wednesday, October 6 at Wesley Ridge Assisted Living in Reynoldsbu­rg, Ohio. She lived an adventurou­s life abroad as a dedicated wife and mother. Ann was born at home on October 4, 1941, in Bethesda, Maryland and graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. She went on to receive a Bachelors in Elementary Education in 1963 from Emory and Henry College. A few years later, Ann married a young Foreign Service Officer she met at church. With this union came unforgetta­ble opportunit­ies to travel the world and live for several years in Spain, Brazil, Mauritius, and Uruguay. A devoted wife, Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Ambassador Richard Clay Brown. A selfless parent, Ann never stopped being a teacher at heart, supporting her children’s developmen­t by encouragin­g their interests. She was a beloved mother to grandnephe­w, Ron Miller (Trish); grandniece, Lori Ballantini (Al); daughter, Tara Jones (Eric); and son, Justin Brown (Megan Kearns); grandmothe­r to Monique Van Note and Stefanie Miller, Heather Macon, Nick Ratti, and Hailey Ballantini, Sydney and Teagan Jones, and Aniya Kearns Brown; and is also survived by her brother, Karl Ehlshlager (Charlotte); and niece, Mary Ann Ehlshlager.

Memorial Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Wesley Ridge Retirement Community Chapel in Reynoldsbu­rg, Ohio. In lieu
