Lyle Norwin Goldsmith, of Orient, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2021 at the age of 83. Lyle was born in Grove City, Ohio to Norwin and Martha Goldsmith on March 18, 1938, who both preceded him in death. He was married to his loving wife Jerry (Seliger) for 52 years, she survives him. He is also survived by a step-daughter, Lisa (John) Sibley; and two sons, John (Nicole) Goldsmith and David (Kelly) Goldsmith; grandchild­ren, Ashley (Dustin) Rhodes, Hannah, Samantha, Zachary and Levi Goldsmith; great grandchild­ren, Mikayla, Gavin, Rafe, and Lane; siblings, Richard (Patricia) Goldsmith, Ann Goldsmith (Glenn Turner), Susan Mcmahen (Mike deceased), and Danny Goldsmith (Vickie deceased); and many nieces and nephews. Lyle served in the US Army Reserve where he earned the honor of being a Distinguis­hed Rifleman as well as a member of the All Army Rifle Team. He was a carpenter for 24 years with Goldsmith Constructi­on and retired from Bob Evans after being a constructi­on manager for 24 years. Lyle was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church of Grove City serving as an usher and a trustee. He was a Mason and Past Master of the Grove City Lodge #689, a member of the Aladdin Shrine and AASR. He was also a Past Patron of Grove City Eastern Star #502. Lyle had a love for nature and enjoyed watching the wildlife on his property and spent many hours hunting,

fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed bee keeping for many years. He loved planting trees and watching them grow. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife as time allowed. The family will receive friends Monday, October 11, 2021, 4-7pm, with a Masonic Service at 7pm at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus Street, Grove City. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021, 10am at The Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus Street, Grove City with Graveside Service following at the Grove City Cemetery,
