A funeral service for Joanne Krieger, 95, formerly of Bexley, will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1pm in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark with Chaplain Cory Campbell

be observed Friday from

11am-1pm. Mrs. Krieger

passed peacefully going home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Licking

Memorial Hospital. She was

born October 8, 1926 in

Columbus to Joseph O. and

Grace (Hartmeyer) Mc

Donald. She was an active

member of the East Side

Grace Brethren Church.

She was a faithful follower of Christ a devoted and

nurturing person. She and

several longtime friends gathered regularly for Bible

Study. She served on the

Childhood League and was a volunteer at Grant Hos

pital. She was a member

of Columbus Country Club and enjoyed tennis and

golfing. She was a graduate

of Marjorie Webster Junior College and The Ohio State

University. She and her

husband wintered in Florida for many years and traveled

during their retirement. She was an avid buckeye fan.

Her greatest joy was being NANA to her grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren and

attending family events.

She is survived by her children, Doug (Mary) Krieger, Jeff (Mary) Krieger all of Westervill­e, Nancy (Sam) Warner of Newark, Steve (Peggy) Krieger of Lewis Center; grandchild­ren, Chris (Audrey) Thomas, Ryan (Jackie) Krieger, Adam Krieger, Kelly Krieger, Andrew (Di) Krieger, Tommy (Britta) Krieger, Kathryn (Wesley) Temple, Stephanie Baker, Carrie (Tyler) Combs, Samantha (Clay) Smith; great-grandchild­ren, Mia, Solan, Crew, Emma, Everly, Nolan, Ren; several nieces

and nephews. In addition

to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George Krieger in 1999, sister Jean

Stiffey, brother Joseph O.

Mcdonald, great-grandson
