Last Week’s Trivia Answer

-

I trace my roots back to the 1923 founding of the Economics Laboratory. My first offering was a carpet cleaner called Absorbit, but my next one, Soilax, a dishwasher detergent for commercial kitchens, was much more successful. I introduced floor and wall cleaners in the 1930s and a stain remover in the 1950s. Today, I’m still based in St. Paul, Minnesota, and have a recent market value near $66 billion; I’m a global leader in solutions and services for water, hygiene and infection prevention, with more than 44,000 staffers serving nearly 3 million commercial customer locations. Who am I? (Answer: Ecolab)
